Dreaming about dead relatives is of common occurrence.

    Is Dreaming About the Dead Biblical?

    For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

    Definitely, something doesn't feel right about seeing the dead in dream. Solomon made it clear in the book of Ecclesiastes that the dead knows nothing; they are asleep and hence we shouldn't have any business to do with them.

    There's also no reason why the dead would leave their resting place to disturb humans in their sleep, so that tells us a lot isn't right about seeing dead people in our dreams.

    Does God Speak To Us Through Dead Relatives in Dreams?


    It isn't that God can not speak to us through the dead but there are way too many more credible means through which He does that, and that renders this particular means almost totally unnecessary.

    God even frowned at Saul for meeting with the witch of En Dor to call up the deceased Prophet Samuel for him to make enquiries (1 Samuel 28:7). He frowned at the practice of inquiring of the dead:

    Deuteronomy 18:10-12 KJV
    There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, [11] Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. [12] For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord : and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

    We should therefore desire not to speak with the dead (whether awake or asleep). To rebuke such dreams is to be on the safe side.

    Dream About Dead Relatives


    Demons like to masquerade as late relatives and coming to people in dreams. Do not be deceived by dreams where a dead relative shows up and claims to deliver a message from God or tell you something accurate about what is happening in your life. This is actually one major means through which familiar spirits establish their connections with their targets.

    Dreams where one has constant communication with their dead relatives should be rebuked and cancelled. If you have such dreams, pray and ask the Lord to enable you rebuke the one appearing as your late relative right there in the dream!

    Recurring Dream About Seeing Dead People


    Having recurring dreams about seeing dead people is not only disturbing but also a pointer to the fact that the enemy has planned death and launched forth the spirit of death against the dreamer.

    There is nothing good about dreaming about living, eating, walking with or doing anything at all with the dead. There is need to fast and pray and rebuke the spirit of death if we are having recurring dreams about the dead.
